Design in mind +

The back ground swatches, Im thinking pattern for the website background which will contrast against a crisp white foreground.

I'm not sure which I like the most, though this decision can be left till last in the design, once all the other elements are in place, (the menu is key) each would have a totally different fill to the online magazine design.
